It is programmed and tested at the factory, to ensure works with Linksys Gigabit Ethernet switches, Routers, network interface cards (NICs) and Gigabit SFP media converters. This 1000BASE-SX hot swappable transceiver provides maximum 550m transmission distance over multi-mode fiber (MMF) cabling at a wavelength of 850nm.
